Field Correspondent

Do you have unique footage of animal exploitation or local protests but lack a platform to reach the world? Often, the most critical stories remain hidden because major media outlets cannot reach closed farms or remote regions. At COBORD, we turn your local activism into a global news event. We have created a horizontal media network to ensure that even those working alone can receive the support of the international community.

This is your “entry ticket” to the international animal rights communityWe offer you a deal: you provide the exclusive content, and we provide the international publicity, translation, and the weight of a global movementYou no longer have to work in isolation—your footage will serve as a powerful tool for systemic change, reaching audiences from social media to international political institutions.

To become a Field Correspondent, you simply need to share our values and follow the guidelines outlined below. There is no formal registration or application process required. Your status is activated by your actions. If you have captured exclusive material, simply ensure it meets our technical and branding requirements (see point 6 below) and send it directly to our team at info@cobord.org. We will provide the international publicity, translation, and the global platform your story deserves.

Field Correspondent: Guidelines & Code of Conduct

1. Status and Representation

As a Level 1 participant, you are entitled to identify yourself as a “Field Correspondent of the International COBORD Movement”.

  • Ideological Status: You represent a global ideological movement, not the legal French association.

  • No Registration Required: You do not need to fill out forms or sign contracts to start. Your adherence to our Ethical Code and the submission of content is your “entry ticket”.

2. Content Categories: What to Capture

We look for high-impact material:

  • Investigations: Undercover footage from farms, slaughterhouses, and labs.

  • Events: Coverage of protests, conferences, and local actions.

  • Interviews & News: Conversations with experts or reports on regional victories/challenges.

3. The Golden Rule: Exclusivity

Because we invest resources into translation and international promotion, your report must be unique. It should not be published anywhere else (including personal social media) until it is released on COBORD resources.

4. Ethical Standards

Integrity is the foundation of our work:

  • Honesty: No fakes, staged events, or distorted facts.

  • Non-Violence: Our activism is rooted in compassion and is strictly peaceful.

  • Inclusivity: Zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind.

5. Safety and Responsibility

  • Personal Risk: You are responsible for assessing risks in difficult environments.

  • Prioritize Life: No footage is worth your health or freedom.

  • Anonymity: We guarantee your anonymity if requested upon submission.

6. Technical Requirements & Branding

To confirm authenticity and link your work to COBORD, please:

  • Branding: Start or end your video by saying: “[Your Name], specifically for COBORD from [City/Country]”. For undercover work, include a “FOR COBORD” tag.

  • Format: Vertical for social media (Reels), horizontal for full reports.

  • Description: Include a brief text explaining what happened, who is involved, and why it matters.
