Official Launch: COBORD Established as an International Association in France

We are proud to announce the official registration and launch of COBORD (Compassion Over Borders), a new international animal rights association headquartered in France. COBORD is established as a strategic bridge between international expertise and grassroots activist groups in regions where the movement for animal liberation faces the greatest challenges.

Our Mission: Bridging the Gap

COBORD focuses its efforts on the CIS countries and the Global South — regions often isolated from the global animal rights infrastructure. Our goal is to overcome geographical and cultural barriers, providing activists with the tools, resources, and visibility they need to drive systemic change. Following the principles of Effective Altruism, we prioritize the protection of farmed animals, who represent the most massively oppressed sentient beings on our planet.

Experienced Leadership

The association was co-founded in 2025 by two veterans of the animal rights movement:

Yuri Koretskikh

Following his forced emigration to France, Yuri brings over a decade of high-level leadership, having previously led Russia’s largest animal protection organization Alliance for Animals.

Executive Director

Oleg Ozerov

Current Vice President in Vegan Georgia, Oleg contributes a truly international perspective with extensive field experience across CIS countries, especially Russia and Georgia.

Strategic Lead

We welcome activists, researchers, and volunteers to join our growing network. Together, we will ensure that no act of cruelty stays hidden and no activist works in isolation.
